Aalto Pickfood microscopy course

Aalto Pickfood microscopy course will be organized on week 49, likely from Monday 2 December to Thursday 5. December.

There will be a small number of short lectures and most of the time will be spent in the lab working on the microscopes.

We have four expert instructors

  • Dr. Isabell Tunn: Dynamics of Pickering emulsions and films using Fluorescence Recovery After Photobleaching (FRAP)
  • Dr. Grégory Beaune: Micro/interfacial rheology using micropipette aspiration
  • Dr. Johannes Haataja: Emulsification and controlling emulsions with electric fields
  • M.Sc. Sachin Rathod: Combined rheology and microscopy (rheomicroscopy)
